It all seems quite clear that who's going to win the million on this season of The Amazing Race. The Linz's siblings are younger, fitter and seems to have better luck than the Bransens & Weavers.

I didn't particularly enjoy this season of TAR as the teams are basically still travelling within the States & have less obstacles to overcome. Unlike the previous seasons, the teams had to deal with the language barrier and cultural shock of some Asian countries.

I hope the next season would include teams of 2 persons, no more family edition for me.

Unlucky to get Elminated

In case you are guessing.
Yes, the Gaghans was my favourite of the remaining 6 teams on The Amazing Race.

They were always lucky to escape elimination, week after week. I thought they could pull if off this week too. The kids are so bright & amazing, their parents have brought them up well.

Nonethless, I no longer have a favourite team now. May the best family wins!

So the curse is true, I can't reveal my favourite; else they would be eliminated.

I don't know about you, but this season of The Amazing Race is getting a lil' boring. WHEN ARE THE TEAMS EVER GETTING OUT OF USA?? It's happening next week, just seen it on www.cbs.com. The teams would be travelling outta USA next week, can't wait.

The language barrier, the different culture, the dirty Roadblocks & Detours. Oh yeah, can't wait.

Bring it on, Wednesday better come quickly.

My Favoured Team Eliminated Again

I can't say I like them huh? If I did, they get eliminated!

I didn't watch The Amazing Race this week, missed it due to work; so I can't really make any comments. It's a pity that both my favoured teams are eliminated simultaneously on TAR 8. I have a new favourite, but I shall keep that to myself now. I can't say it out loud, can't take the risk that they might get eliminated next.

Rogers Family Last to Reach Pit Stop

One of my favoured teams got eliminated this week on The Amazing Race.

The Rogers Family made a drastic mistake enroute to Washington D.C. & didn't realise their mistake soon enough & was eliminated during the 2nd leg of TAR.

Many other teams made mistakes, but were fortunate enough to make up for the lost time & avoided being last. Hopefully, the Rogers Family walked away from the Race; learning something or strengthening their family ties/relationships. That would be something no one could take away from them.

Black Family first outta TAR 8

The Black Family is the first casualty of The Amazing Race 8 - Family Edition. They reached the Pit Stop last & were eliminated from the race.

It was an interesting 2-hr special, watched it on AXN. Was really impressed with the kids from the Gaghan Family. I know the Race can only get better, keep watching.

I love the Amazing Race.
There's a twist this time, instead of 2 in each team; there's gonna be 4 members in each team. It's already tough for 2 members to reach an agreement on which Detour to take & who's to do the Road Block, we might see double the sparks & disagreements with the 2 additional members in each team.

I kinda like these 2 families, not because the men are cute.
Hope they fare well on the Race.

Uchenna & Joyce WINS The Amazing Race

Uchenna & Joyce Finishes First

Amazing Amazing Race.
Uchenna & Joyce overcame the obstacle of begging for money, a flat tyre & won the million-dollar prize by finishing ahead of Rob/Amber & Ron/Kelly.

Uchenna/Joyce had so much good luck that even I found it hard to believe. Rob/Amber were able to board the earlier departing flight & Ucehnna/Joyce looks like they were departing on the 1115hr flight & destined to finish behind the engaged couple. However, a big stroke of luck allowed them to board the same flight as Rob/Amber & they went on to win the Race.

Rob/Amber got lost in Miami, Florida while looking for the last clue directing them to the finishing line; while Uchenna/Joyce were able to get enough information with the help of their cab driver & found the clue swiftly.



Ron/Kelly made a wrong turn enroute to the airport & lost the Race then. No one wanted to see Rob/Amber winning the million-dollar prize again, me too. Luckily for Uchenna/Joyce, they had a wonderful cab driver & made a successful last scramble to beg for money to pay off the cab fare.

Will we see The Amazing Race 8? I hope so.

Elderly Couple Meredith & Gretchen Eliminated on TAR this week

What a journey it must have been for elderly couple Meredith & Gretchen. They said it themselves, they didn't expect to get this far on the Race; certainly not in the last four teams remaining.

Nonethless, they take away memories & experiences from the Race that would be unique & exclusively to them.



Rob & Amber ; Uchenna & Joyce ; Ron & Kelly

It's the season finale next week, 2-hr special. What I didn't wanna see happened, Rob/Amber are one of the final 3 teams racing to the finish line. Just how did they get there, alot of help from the locals, manipulation, deceit, their celebrity status & competitiveness. You got to give it to them, they did them all. Everyone hates them, but no one made it difficult for them.

Ron/Kelly had the chance to yield them earlier in the Race to probably put them out of the Race, but didn't have enough brains to do it. In turn, they were yielded this week by Rob/Amber. What a joke, hah!

I hope Rob/Amber comes in last of the 3 teams, it's quite unlikely though. Looks like they are holding a rather reasonable lead over the other 2 teams, by finishing the Detour & Roadblock quickly this week; not to mention the Yield they exercised to their advantage.

Fingers crossed.

Lynn & Alex Eliminated on TAR

Arch rivals with Rob/Amber, boyfriends Lynn & Alex were eliminated on The Amazing Race this week. Who would have thought, they finished the Road Block before Meredith/Gretchen. However, their cab driver got them to the wrong palace & the boyfriends couldn't make up for the lost time.


Joyce Shaves her head to earn Fast Forward

It was so brave of Joyce to shave her head to get the Fast Forward. I didn't think she was able to do that. Flo/Zach didn't have the guts to do that in Amazing Race 3, remember? Nontheless, the Fast Forward was well-earned; kudos to Joyce.

Brothers Out !

Brian & Greg outta TAR

Hmm, what can i say? The brothers were cute & definitely a threat to any team, they are both fit & competitive. However, they never recovered from the last place finish the week before & were the sixth team outta The Amazing Race.

It's getting kinda sickto see Rob/Amber finishing first AGAIN, just how many Travelocity trips have they won? I think the Survivor sweethearts would win this, so predictable.

Ray & Deana Eliminated

Ray & Deana got Eliminated after winning 2 Toyota Rav 4

I'm happy for Ray & Deana. Well, they did walk away from the Race after winning something & that something was HUGE! They each won themselves a Toyota Rav 4 after coming in first at the Pit Stop having beaten Rob/Amber at the Fast Forward.

But bickering & desperation caused them to lose the lead they had built earlier. They finished last & became the 5th team to be eliminated on TAR 7.


Gretchen's Ghastly Injury, saved by non-elimination

If you didn't watch this week's 2-hour special, you would have thought the pic on the left came off a war zone. Gretchen suffered a ghastly fall when rapelling through the dark caves at a detour. She got her wound stitched & carried on with the race, but only managed a last place finish.

However, they were relieved to learn that it's the first of 3 non-elimination legs on the Race. Gretchen/Meredith were granted a reprieve & kept them in the Race.


Brian & Gregg Caught up in a car accident

The most amazing things happen on The Amazing Race.

Brian's humvee skidded off the rough terrain & in the process flipped & turned before it came to a halt. The brothers escaped unhurt, but the safety officer/guide in the humvee wasn't so lucky.

Brian was visibly traumatised by the crash & amazingly managed to complete the detour with brother, Gregg. They went on to win a foot race against Ray/Deana to avoid elimination.


Without a doubt, the Race is getting more exciting & tension/animosity towards Rob & Amber is intensifying. It would really be so sick to see them win the Race & walk away with another million-dollar prize.

Susan & Patrick Eliminated from the Race

Mother & Son tag-team Eliminated

Another unbelievable week on TAR, Rob/Amber came in top again; despite being the 5th team to leave the pit stop. Simply mind-boggling.

The 5 teams (Lynn/Alex, Uchenna/Joyce, Ron/Kelly, Brian/Gregg & Rob/Amber) that departed first were fighting to reach the pit stop in the 1st place & the last 3 teams (Ray/Deana, Meredith/Gretchen & Susan/Patrick) that left later were trying to avoid elimination, due to a flight plan that scheduled the 2 flights to depart 5 hrs between them.

Rob/Amber caught up with the 4 teams ahead of them & managed to board the 1st plane out to Argentina. The mere facial expressions of the other 4 teams were priceless, they weren't expecting them; obviously.

It would definitely be sick to see Rob/Amber win a million again. But, judging from the good luck they have had; it's hard not to imagine them winning The Amazing Race. Hopefully, they 6 teams left would run a better race than them & not fall prey to Rob's ruse.

Competitive Debbie & Bianca Eliminated from TAR

Debbie & Bianca Eliminated - Lost their way

The only all-girl team got eliminated this week on TAR.

Damn, it must have been so disappointing for Debbie & Bianca. They were running a good race for the previous legs. They got lost on the way, while driving themselves to the route marker. They were heading in the wrong direction for a good 2 hours.

Though Debbie did overcome her fear of rafting at the Detour & unbelievably chowed down 4 pounds of meat at the Road Block, it wasn't enough to bring them from last place & they got eliminated eventually.

Ok ok, I'm so impressed with Rob. I know he's scheming, manipulative & played dirty on Survivor. But i never thought he could use those skills on TAR. It was like watching Survivor all over again.

Not only did he take the 4-hour penalty when he chose to quit the Road Block, he managed to wriggle his way outta last place finish (given the penalty) by persuading Ray/Deana to take the penalty as well. That would ensure Amber & himself to finish above Ray/Deana. What surprised me most was the level of compliance Ray/Deana showed towards Rob's suggestion. Didn't they even think for a moment that they could be finishing dead last if all the other teams manage to finish the Road Block before their 4-hour penalty expires? Woah, the magic of Boston Rob!

I can't wait to see what other tricks Rob has to offer, this is by far the most Amazing Race i have seen & though sometimes i feel the methods were despicable; but hell, Rob makes the race so much more interesting.

Megan & Heidi Eliminated from TAR 7

Blondies Megan & Heidi lost by seconds on a foot-race to the Pit-Stop to brother, Brian & Greg.

Rob & Amber cruised to a 1st place finish during this leg of the race. They were in a conspiracy with Ron/Kelly & Ray/Deana. They pooled their $ together to bribe the bus driver to ONLY open the door in front to alight them from the bus first & managed to gain a slight advantage over the other 7 teams.

I don't know about you, but i never imagine TAR to be this "dirty". Probably, with the inclusion of Rob/Amber this season; they added the Survivor factor into the race. They plotted, allied & withheld information from the other teams. Well, you may say that it's a race & all of them wanna win the million dollars at the end. But, such tactics & tricks are a first in TAR.

Anyway, keep watching & be prepared for more surprises. Per the preview trailer, Rob/Amber continues to "play dirty" & stole Debbie/Bianca's cab next week. It makes it exciting, but the sportsmanship element is lost, that's how i feel.

The Amazing Race 7

So, the show did start with a bang. With the 11 teams heading for Lima, Peru. Early alliance formed between Debbie/Bianca & Susan/Patrick. They ended up being the first 2 teams this week.

The celebrity team, Survivor sweethearts; Rob/Amber ran an amazing race, as Phil put it. They were the last to leave for the airport for the flight to Lima. Ironically, Rob had problem popping the car's truck. It was hilarious. Luckily for them, they managed to get a fellow American in Lima to guide them along the way & stayed among the top 3. They were easy hate targets of the other 10 teams; citing the reason that they had already won a million on Survivor; they would be disgusted to see them win another on TAR. Then beat them in their game & stop BITCHING about it!

Some teams got to a lousy start, like Uchenna/Joyce & Megan/Heidi. They made mistakes earlier in the game & were lucky to stay in the Race. But, I'm sure they would bounce back & show the rest the better side of them.

The old couple, Meredith/Gretchen surprised me with a sixth place finish amongst the 11 teams. Not that the old are weak, but they are generally slower & fare worse in terms of physical tasks. Kudos to the couple!

Of course there would be teams in romantic relationships. There's Ron/Kelly, the former beauty queen & POW of the US-led Iraq war. Amazing courage of Ron to survive through the hardships during his capture. Then, there's Ray/Deana. They are said to be dating on & off, what's that supposed to mean? It's either ON or OFF, i don't about you, but i hate indecisive people.

Ok, no eye candy this season; like Derek/Drew from the earlier season. But I thought Brian looked pretty cool. Ok ok, it's only the first impression; maybe i'll grow to hate him later in the Race. Also, there's Lynn/Alex; the gay couple. There are cute & funny. I thought they would suffer a penalty for not taking the ricksaw to the beach, apparently not.

Alas, it was Chuck/Ryan eliminated first from the Race. They lost out on a foot-race against Ron/Kelly. Sad to see them go, they looked real tough & would definitely give the other teams a run for their $$.

Okay, my rundown of the 11 teams. May Wednesday come sooner, can't wait.

Freddy & Kendra - Winners of TAR 6

Freddy/Kendra Finishes FIRST......& win the million !!

So there you have it....the winners of The Amazing Race 6, Freddy & Kendra !!

The finale turned out to be so competitive & i really didn't expect Aaron/Hayden to be stumped by a bad cab driver & even gave up on the Roadblock & took a 4-hour penalty. I guess they were hoping that Adam/Rebbecca can't finish the Roadblock too & it would be down to who gets to the pit stop first as both teams would suffer the 4-hour penalty.

But alas, it was not meant to be. Rebbecca managed to find the lock that matters most & finished the Roadblock in fine form, lucky for her & Adam. Sheer bad luck for Hayden & Aaron.

So, with Hayden/Aaron eliminated; the 3 teams remaining began their last leg from China to Honolulu, Hawaii & finally to Chicago. It was actually betweeen Freddy/Kendra & Kris/Jon, as Adam/Rebbecca had to much time to make up for due to the last leg at Xi'An, China. It was really tight between the 2 teams, Jon & Freddy even did their Roadblock of skydiving together! It was that tight.

However, the earlier mistake of Kris/Jon came back to haunt them & i bet they must be kicking themselves for that. They booked a flight reaching Chicago 30 mins later with American Airlines, compared to Freddy/Kendra's earlier flight with United. The deficit literally killed their chances.

In the end, it was Freddy & Kendra whom reached the finishing line first. But first having to manuveur their own way to the finishing line as their cab driver was clueless of the final destination.

Nonetheless, i thought it was a fair finish with Freddy/Kendra winning it.

I guess we don't have to wait too long for The Amazing Race 7. Just went on www.cbs.com & realised that TAR 7 is premiering on 01st March 2005. Guess what, it features Rob/Amber from Survivor All-Stars.....kinda unfair. Amber has already won a million, why give her the chance to win another? But i guess, it's done by the producers to increase viewership. However, i didn't think they need Rob/Amber as the catalyst for increased viewership. They will get enough of that with the solid foundation & trills/adventures they put out every season.

4-way Race next week....

Down to the last 4 teams

Woah, i seriously thought Adam/Rebbecca would be eliminated this week in Shanghai, China. Alas, it's the last of 3 pre-determined non-elimination legs.

It was a nail-biting finish this week, with Kris/Jon & Adam/Rebbecca vying for the last place. I was so elated when Kris/Jon reached Peace Hotel South in 3rd place, after nearly being run over twice by the horrendous traffic in downtown Shanghai.

Despite Hayden's whining & endless complaints, both Aaron & herself managed to finish first. Freddy/Kendra yielded Adam/Rebbecca for payback, though i thought it wouldn't have made any difference to the placings if they had yielded Kris/Jon. However, having to start the next crucial leg in a city where language is a big barrier would be a daunting task for Adam/Rebbecca.

I still hope Kris/Jon wins, can't wait for the season finale this coming Wed.....

Lori & Bolo Eliminated

Married Wrestlers Eliminated

It was such a pity, married wrestlers Lori & Bolo got eliminated from the Race due to a silly error; which caused them valuable time.

You can't help but feel sorry for them, they were leading the Race throughout this leg; till they forgot to read the additional information that requires them to bring the admission tickets to the Lion's Rock. Having not read the additional info, Lori trekked to the vantage point w/o the tickets. She had to make her way to the foot of Lion's Rock to retrieve the tickets from Bolo, then make her way up again. The additional trip cost Lori/Bolo a closer shot in the Final 3 for the million dollar prize.

Now, the 4 couples left in the Race are all very competitive.

I see Kendra being the weakest link amongst the ladies & might cause both herself & Freddy to be eliminated from the Race.

Though both Kris/Jon & Aaron/Hayden are strong teams, i still prefer Kris/Jon to win this. Hopefully Hayden's whining & bossiness would cause her team's demise.

Although Rebecca is one tough cookie, i think & hope Adam would slow Rebecca down; and allow Kris & Jon to win this Race! Hahaha.....that would be the ideal finish.
