Manchester City 0 - 1 Liverpool

Winning Goal by John Arne Riise

No, Crouch still hasn't scored.

But we won another league match, another 3 points in the bag. It wasn't the best game from Liverpool, we weren't too impressive in the first 45 minutes, but we were certainly the better side in the second half. We looked like we could have a couple more goals from Gerrard & Crouch.

It's the 4th straight win in the League & the 6th clean sheet so far, we are certainly climbing the table steadily & slowly; with 1 or 2 games against the other teams.

Surely we can beat Sunderland tomorrow & get a win against Wigan during the weekend. With another 6 points, our position would be even better.

Liverpool 3 - 0 Portsmouth

3 is enough, but 4 would be better - Rafa Benitez

A week's break due to the internationals, we are BACK this week!
And what a game from Liverpool, they put 3 goals past the Pompeys & secured yet another 3 points.

The match wasn't shown on tv this weekend though, i got information of goals & the match from the EPL highlights, the web & the papers. Nonethless, it all points well to Liverpool; securing another win & keeping another clean sheet.

Goals from Bolo Zenden, Djibril Cisse and Fernando Morientes were enough to see the Reds claim a well-deserved three points against the South Coast strugglers on a bitterly cold Anfield afternoon.

However, there was more frustration in front of goal for Peter Crouch who, despite turning in another impressive performance, failed to end his much-publicised goal drought and suffered the misfortune of having a penalty saved by Pompey keeper Jamie Ashdown.

More on the Liverpool official website

I believe we will do well against Real Betis in midweek & qualify for the next stage of Champions League.

Paolos Sink

The Paolos

Again, I didn't watch this episode.
Damn, I'm missing too much of Amazing Race this season.

Aston Villa 0 - 2 Liverpool

Carra had a good game, shutting ex-Pool player; Baros out

A win against Aston Villa, another 3 points away from Anfield. We are climbing the league table steadily.

Carra had a great game, shutting Milan Baros out & making an all-important tackle early in the first half. If Carra mis-timed the tackle or failed to do so, it would certainly be a goal for Baros. We created many chances, but were once again let down by our finishing & good goalkeeping by Thomas Sorensen.

A controversial penalty gave us the lead through Steven Gerrard in the 85th min. Peter Crouch was supposedly pushed in the penalty box by Liam Ridgewell. It surely didn't look like a valid penalty claim, but these things happen in football. Gerrard stepped up to take the spot-kick & did so superbly, sending Sorensen to the wrong side of the goal. 1 - 0 to Liverpool.

Alonso secured the 3 points surely with a 20-yard drive in the 89th min to make it 2 - 0.

Liverpool 3 - 0 Anderlecht

Garcia Celebrates

A comfortable 3 - 0 win over Anderlecht at Anfield almost certainly secured Pool's entry into the next stage of competition in the Champions League. But Chelsea was beaten by Real Betis at Seville by 1 - 0 & opened up a 3-way race for qualification for Group G.

Morientes opened the account for Pool in the 34th min with a superb goal from long range. The goal was important for both Liverpool & Nando himself. He has worked hard for the past few games he played in & was unlucky not to have scored a couple in the Premiership. Hopefully the goal would help build up his confidence as a striker & may he start scoring more of such stunning goals.

Garcia added a 2nd just past the hour mark with a delightful header over & past the reach of Anderlecht's keeper. Garcia has been pretty impressive for the last couple of games, he was also influential in the league game against West Ham last weekend. Let's hope his form continues.

The most bizzare thing happened later with referee Nielsen brandishing his famous red card again. He had sent off David Beckham and Wayne Rooney on past occasions. This time, he sent off Nenad Jestrovic in the 75th min. He wasn't too pleased with the exchange of words between Sissoko and Jestrovic, citing racial abuse for the abrupt sent-off.

Cisse added a 3rd just before the end of the match, with assistance from subsitute; Harry Kewell.

3 superbly taken goals was certainly a delight to watch & it was worth me sacrificing my sleep for.

Gaghans OUT

Unlucky to get Elminated

In case you are guessing.
Yes, the Gaghans was my favourite of the remaining 6 teams on The Amazing Race.

They were always lucky to escape elimination, week after week. I thought they could pull if off this week too. The kids are so bright & amazing, their parents have brought them up well.

Nonethless, I no longer have a favourite team now. May the best family wins!
