So this is it. Another repeat of the 2005 Champions League semis - Chelsea vs Liverpool. Liverpool put up a reasonable performance against PSV to secure the semi-final berth to meet Chelsea; to fight for the final spot to Athens in May 07.
Liverpool fielded a side with some of the big names rested, Gerrard & Carra were rested. Both PSV & Pool were wary about going forward & the game soon become a lil' bored. But after an controversial sent-off of Dirk Marcellis by refeere, Liverpool were the more aggresive side with 1 man extra.
3 out of the 4 teams in the semis are English teams, I wouldn't wanna see a all-English final. Hopefully Milan can dispose of Man Utd & that would be a repeat of the 2005 final at Istanbul - AC Milan vs Liverpool in the CL Final.
